Community Centre

The Village Hall and the playing field is owned by the residents of the 3 villages of Onehouse, Harleston and Shelland, and is registered as a charity so has to be run in accordance with the Charity Commissioners Rules and Regulations. The Management Committee, is made up of 6 elected members, and representatives from all user groups. The Committee meets on a Monday or Tuesday of each month. 

We have an Administrator who runs the Centre on a daily basis and deals with all bookings.

Within the Centre we have a number of user groups who regularly use the facilities. There is also the Sports and Social Club who run the bar and contribute to the finances of the whole Centre. The Jubilee Players meet and rehearse here for their productions and we have a Pilates class who  meet on Monday and Thursday evenings.

As a Committee our main aim is to raise the money needed to run the Centre and we have a number of money raising events during the year.

The committee recently secured funding for a new floor in the main hall and for refurbishment and decoration of the windows as well as internal glazing. The hall is now available for hire for parties or events.  We also have availability for any groups or clubs who may want to use the hall.  We have a reduced hourly rate for user groups who use the hall weekly.
